About us

INCOSE SA founded in 2002 is the South African chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1990 to develop and spread the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable successful systems. It is an open society, espousing system thinking and system engineering principles for all. Through organizing various activities and in sourcing information it ensures its members are knowledgeable professionals capable of being world-class systems engineers and systems thinkers.

Purpose

The purpose of INCOSE SA is to foster the definition, understanding, and practice of world-class systems engineering in industry, academia, and government.

Mission

INCOSE's mission is to address complex societal and technical challenges by enabling, promoting, and advancing Systems Engineering and systems approaches. In Southern Africa, this aim is carried further by INCOSE SA that operates in line with the mission and goals of the international INCOSE organisation.
